I took out the carry-on bag last night to have it ready for packing on Friday, and got the urge instead to pack it all up. I almost got everything packed up, then the lights went out. After this pre-summer heat wave, the thunder and lightning storm came, with the strong winds, and the power went out. That was the end of packing.
Serious packing will have to start tonight, as I see too much stuff piled up in the other room already. I want to avoid having to travel with so many bags, but I don't want to pay the over-weight fees either. It'll be one or the other, though ...
The kids are asking about packing two bags - each? Heavens! I can just imagine the chaos at the luggage claim area ...
